Doug Schmitt |
Doug is the founder and president of Interior Components NW, Inc. After escaping
the corporate world, he established a small remodeling business in 1977, began
specializing in cabinetmaking and soon found his calling as liason person between
the clients' ideas and the sawdust making. He is the "go to" person from the start
of the project to the final details. His special skills are in bringing the best
craftsmen to the interior project, planning and interfacing with design professionals
or directly with clients, and organizing jobs to co-ordinate materials, people and time
for a successful project. Whether implementing your designs, creating working drawings,
or just brainstorming with you over your dreams, it is his job to help you fulfill your
design objectives. Doug lives in Portland with his wife and teenaged daughter.

Dave Knoll |
David is truly the master craftsman behind The Master's Craftsmen. After receiving a BS
in Forestry from Oregon State University, he apprenticed and rose to journeyman status at the
prestigious Martin & McArthur Woodworking in Honolulu, Hawaii. David returned to the mainland
in 1980 to establish his own woodworking business. He partnered with Interior Components more
than 25 years ago to produce the high-end furniture and cabinetry for which we have been known in
the design community. His residential pieces have become heirlooms for their owners and our
commercial projects have provided years of beautiful service to companies all over the Portland
area. David and his wife live in Sandy, OR.

Mike Schuett |
Mike's fabulous ability in cabinetmaking has earned Schuett's Custom Cabinets a place on
Interior Components' team of highly-skilled craftsmen. A native of Minnesota, Mike has worked
in woodworking all his life, first in his family's business, then as an exhibit-maker and custom
cabinetmaker. After establishing his own company, he partnered with us in 1996, bringing to our
group his exceptional mastery of plastic laminate and wood cabinet and furniture building. Mike
makes his home in Oregon City, OR.

Chuck DeVries |
Chuck has been with us almost 20 years, from the very beginning of Charles DeVries Fine Woodworking.
A journeyman woodworker of exceptional skill, Chuck has excelled at producing numerous pieces of
commercial furniture that have stood the test of time. We turn to Chuck for some of our most difficult work
because he is particularly gifted as a problem-solver. His unyielding commitment to quality makes him an
important asset to Interior Components. Chuck is our "long distance builder" since he and his wife now live
near Phoenix, AZ.

Stan Hanson |
Stan Hanson has established himself as our main custom finisher. Having worked in the industry for over 25
years, there is little in the complicated world of modern finishing that Stan has not mastered, from standard
stain and lacquers to specialty finishes. His exceptional ability to match colors and produce the finest
stained and lacquered finishes has earned Stan Hanson Custom Finishing a place in our consortium of craftsmen.
Stan lives across the river in Vancouver, WA.

Jeff Schuett |
Jeff is the newest addition to Interior Components' team of skilled woodcrafters. He brings JR Installations to us
as a top-notch installation and on-site wood and laminate fabricator. Also from the Land of 10,000 Lakes, Jeff's skill as
a woodworker, cabinetmaker and finish carpenter is extraordinary and an important reason for our success. Jeff's home is
in Clackamas, OR.
